Emily Teepe, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Emily Teepe has been part of the High Plains veterinary team since graduating from veterinary school in 2014. She grew up on a small farm in Missouri with a menagerie of beloved animals. Her veterinary career began as a teenage kennel attendant where her interest in animals and medicine grew. She attended William Woods University graduating with a degree in biology and educational studies. Dr. Teepe graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a variety of externships across the U.S.
Dr. Teepe loves the variety of veterinary medicine – every day brings its own unique challenges and rewards. As a veterinarian she gets to combine her interest in science, medicine, and education, while having a positive impact on the lives of animals and the families who care for them. Dr. Teepe enjoys all aspects of general practice and likes to focus on preventative care and client education. She appreciates the team approach and exceptional care provided by the High Plains veterinary team.
When not working, there is a good chance Dr. Teepe is traveling or spending time with family stateside or in the Netherlands, her place of birth. She loves everything outdoors - hiking, tennis, pickleball, horseback riding, camping, and plans to visit every Colorado State Park. Other interests include home improvement projects, antiques, and painting/crafting. Dr.Teepe and her boyfriend share their home with a spunky and neurotic border collie mix, Lucille, and two sassy house cats, Brother and Little. Dr. Teepe is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care and looks forward to meeting you and your pet!
